	BC Day Monday, August 2nd Mall Hours 11am – 5pm The first Monday of August is known as British Columbia Day. It is a statutory holiday and gives Canadians in the province the chance to celebrate their achievements or relax with friends and family members. The mall hours are 11am – 5pm, although some merchants on the exterior of the centre may have different operating hours.
	JYSK Extended Shopping Hours July 31st, August 7th Open from 10:00am – 7:00pm JYSK’s products range from furniture to accessories, including mattresses, bedding and outdoor products that will enhance any living space with a sense of sophistication at an affordable price. Take advantage of JYSK’s extended hours on July 31st and August 7th.
	Shiners Raffle Ticket Sales Shoppers Drug Mart Court Friday, August 6th - Sunday, August 8th Mall Hours Freemasons operate many of the world’s greatest charitable organizations. The best known is the Shriners with their colorful parades and their work on behalf of physically challenged children. Since 1922, Shriners have substantially improved the quality of life for nearly 400,000 physically challenged and burned children. Millions more have benefited as recipients of treatments and techniques at Shriners’ hospitals.
	The Nanaimo Glad & Dahlia Society’s Fall Show & Exhibition Saturday, August 21st, and Sunday, August 22nd Mall Wide Dahlia flowers are as diverse in shape as they are in colour: they may be single or double, flat or round, with petals that might be twisted or curled – or not. Although they are best known for their dinner plate-sized blossoms, dahlia flowers come in many sizes. Stop by and view one of the most interesting and colourful floral exhibitions in the Pacific Northwest.
	Seniors Day Thursday, August 26th Many of the merchants at Country Club Centre offer special discounts to seniors on the last Thursday of each month, and a list of the participating merchants is displayed at the information table in the Food Court. Free refreshments are available at the Food Court between 10am and 11am and again in the afternoon between 2pm and 3pm. The We’re different band will be entertaining in the Food Court between 2pm and 3pm.
	The Nanaimo Pottery Co-op Show and Sale Friday, August 27th, 9:30am – 9:00pm Saturday, August 28th, 9:00am – 5:30pm Mall Wide The Nanaimo Pottery Co-operative was established in 1978 to provide opportunities for mid-Vancouver Island potters to share knowledge and enthusiasm for working with clay in all its forms. Come out and support your local community of potters who will introduce you to pottery as a recreational activity or support you as a professional.
